Update

Although degree show is well and truly over, I do not feel like I have stopped working, which is nice. I've had a few commissions and sales to sort out and, most importantly, I was fortunate enough to photograph the Duncan-Sexton Wedding on Saturday 2nd June. Having taken over 2000 images, the cutting and editing process has been fairly intensive, hopefully to the happy couple's satisfaction!
Here's a few sample shots of the day:

Also, my new website is officially live! Huge thanks to the very talented web designer/guru Greig Murray.

Final days

Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design's annual degree show will finish on Sunday 27th May, so this weekend is the final chance to see some exciting and refreshing art work from a group of very talented individuals. The show has been a great success so far, with much positive feedback from both press and public sources.

I am so grateful for all the support I have received this week and the lovely comments found in my comments book. It really does make all the hard work worthwhile! I am looking forward, however, to starting some new projects and losing myself in them again, so please watch this space...

For those of you who are visiting this blog after seeing the show, please note that my website will soon be up and running if you wish to see more or are interested in any of the work. (There have been a few technical glitches, but hopefully www.lyma-images.com will be fully functional in the next week)

Thank you!

Degree Show Opening 2012

Well, we made it! Degree show is here and going very well so far. I've had lot of generous feedback from visitors and some very interesting conversations with some very interesting folks. I won't be putting up images of the work up until the show is over.
In the meantime here is an idea of how opening night looked in room 511, courtesy of Paul Kerr, to whom I am very grateful. (Also, have a look at his own site: Blabber 'n' Smoke )

Nearly there...

I now have one more day (or 3 and a half hours) of final installing to do on Sunday for my deadline on Monday morning. This week has been completely exhausting, from sanding painting and scrubbing the studio to frantically putting it all up on the wall in one day. I don't want to show too much of the show so soon, so I thought I'd share my business card design instead.

Degree show sneak preview to come soon!

Catalogue Page

As degree show looms ever nearer, I've managed to take some time out of sanding an entire studio into a thick fog and becoming covered in emulsion to share my online catalogue page for the degree show!

Have a look at the student's exhibiting, I think we are going to have a cracking show!

P.S. My official website isn't up and running yet, give it another few weeks :)
